Nimbus Motorcycles
I remember Nimbus from when I was a kid, their motorcycles were legendary pieces of history, the perfect mix between badass boyhood dreams and elegant Danish design. I remember the sound, the smell and the feeling of the leather seat. This logo tries to keep that feeling alive, not succumbing to the modern minimalistic expressions, but keeping the rugged, handcrafted, old school feeling alive, while still adhering to the needs of modern mark. A corporate identity logo and a product emblem has been both been designed from the same shape, a shape that has taken direct inspiration in one of the heritage logos, while now optimised for modern use by creating an uncomplicated shape.
Finding the balance between crusty and clean
In logo design, finding the balance between crusty and clean, heritage and modern, authentic and corporate—is crucial for creating a brand identity that resonates with both the heart and the market. These opposing forces each bring unique strengths, but when one dominates too heavily, the design risks alienating a portion of the intended audience.
